Dear Andrew: My Favorite Moments

Dear Andrew,

I first want to start off by saying what a classy guy you are. The way you reacted when you found out you were voted off was perfect. Here are my favorite moments from you this season. First, your audition:

Then during Hollywood, of course the elusive Straight Up:

Then we had the top 24 performances. I love this, I have it on my iPod:

And my favorite (also on my iPod):

I am excited to see what you bring in the future.

**************And if you want to watch Andrew on Ellen, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nFrIQ14YVw . A great thing to notice is when Ellen asks him the worst part of Idol and the best part. He starts with the best instead of the worst. He is such a nice guy. *********************

Dear {insert right person here}: Stop Being Mean!

Dear People In Charge,

I don't know who decides this, but it must stop. Nearly every single week of this season, you have made it so Andrew is one of the last two when deciding who is in the bottom three (or before the top 12, who is going home). It is getting to be ridiculous. Can't you spread the love? Why do you always make it Andrew? Do you realize that he is quite popular? So you are trying to boost ratings because you think people will get nervous and stay around longer or turn on the TV because they are worried about him? I don't know what it is, but give the poor guy a break! Let someone else sweat it out for once.

Sincerely,

Dear Andrew: Your Moment

Dear Andrew,

This was so great. Such a moment for you. Loved it.

Here it is with Usher's suggestions and the judges commentary:

And because I will want to listen over and over without all the commentary:

Loved it. Did I mention I liked it?

Sincerely,

Dear Andrew: Great Job

Dear Andrew,

I will keep this short. I just wanted to say good job last night. You are still my favorite. Don't mind those judges. I am not really sure what their problem is (I wrote them a letter, too), but their comments are not a reflection of the feelings of your fans. Keep it up.

Dear Judges: Get Over It

Dear Judges,

I noticed you keep talking about Andrew Garcia's rendition of Straight Up. I was writing to tell you to get over it! Try to look past the past and look at the moment. If you do, you will see that he is doing a great job. You might even notice that practically everyone loves him. Yes, he sang Straight Up. Yes, he did a great job.

But you know what? I still have that song from Fallout Boy in my head three weeks later. The song with Andrew singing it. He has real talent. He is a great singer. I don't need to hear some re-make of some song I thought was cool when I was in third grade to continue liking him.

You are all too hard on him. You seem to be judging people compared to themselves rather than each other. Now, that would be a nice thing to do if this weren't a competition. But it is. To tell Tim he was wonderful just because he was better than he has ever been, and yet he did very little creatively with the song, and then tell Andrew he wasn't very good because it still didn't give you the tingle you got with Straight Up, and yet he did lots with the song, is just getting really frustrating. Maybe you didn't like it as much as Straight Up, but you had to like it better than Hallelujah.

Please get over it.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
